Building a swing set can be a great home improvement project that will provide one’s kids with entertainment. It can also be a bonding experience if one chooses to build it with their children so they can watch it take shape before they get to play on it and enjoy it that much more.
Installing new lighting fixtures is a great investment. Dark or dim rooms can seem smaller and depressing. Simply installing additional lighting can give new life to a room. A bright kitchen not only makes it easier to cook, but can liven the whole house, and a well lit bathroom can seem much larger than it really is.
During your next home improvement project, make sure to cover any exposed surfaces. For example, cover the floor with a tarp if you are painting or protect your counter tops if you are demolishing cabinets. If you fail to take the time to do this step, you may wind up spending a lot of money fixing scratched or damaged items.
Make sure that you seal the grout after you have laid the tile. Grout is porous. If you do not seal it, moisture can seep into the grout, promoting mold and mildew. Unsealed grout also stains easily. If you seal the grout, not only will it save you time in cleaning your tiles, but it can potentially save you money in costly repairs resulting from mildew problems.
Hire a qualified contractor. If you decide to hire someone to do your home improvements for you, make sure they are qualified. Check with the city to make sure that the contractor is licensed and bonded, and ask for references. Most reputable contractors will also have a portfolio of their previous work. Get a written estimate and projected timeline for completion of the job.

Call the landlord and complain. It's their responsibility to take care of infestations. They should also require all pet owners to use flea preventatives on their animals. If the landlord will not take care of the problem, then call a lawyer.

Frankly…as I knew all along…It was a mistake to go into Iraq to begin with. Bush, Sr., knew it, too…which is why he pulled out very quickly after invading. Bush, Jr., though is a dumb, spoiled rich brat who's so incompetent, he can't even think for himself and has to let Cheney do all the work for him. This is dangerous because Cheney, a former CEO of Halliburton chose to invade Iraq for its oil and secure his company with the largest military contract ever, and start funneling the oil through his company for $$$ and back into his pockets. All this talk about liberating Iraq and bringing democracy to their country is just a bull$hit smoke cover that Cheney lets Bush promote to keep all the hard core Neo-Cons happy (and rich). It never had to do with freedom or democracy, but simply securing a country of the world's second largest oil supply. Bush & Cheney had an Iraq agenda BEFORE 9/11.
Be yourself thats all i tell you.

The worst people in public view are sport announcers or half time reporters….They use so many words incorrectly/with bad English. You just have to look at who most of the reporters are….sport players who spent too many hours on the field practicing their skills to score big and not in the classroom where they should have been.
I hate when people say "irregardless", it's "regardless"—irregardless isn't a word..
Also, I hate when people refer to Asians as "oriental"…a guy I work with said "The "oriental" couple that came in earlier" when talking about an Asian couple. Rugs are oriental, not people.
try pennies, just throw them around the room, on the bed, everywhere!
but be careful not to vaccuum them or anything like that. THEY WORK WONDERS

Go to your local pet store and ask for flea bombs. The apartment will have to be empty for three or four hours when they are set off. After that – no more fleas.
First of all, both of the candidates had a (D) next to their name. It was a *Democratic* primary. Secondly, we here in South Carolina are no smarter nor any stupider than the people elsewhere.
How did Alvin Greene win the primary? I have no idea, and neither does anyone else.
What do I think of the primary elections? I think South Carolina needs to allow voters to register by party and limit participation to party members, and allow smaller parties to hold primaries too. We should also end the policy of requiring candidates to pay a huge filing fee and replace that with a petition requirement that can be met by a candidate with enough backers, or willing to put in the time themselves. Say 200 signatures for state House, 350 for state Senate, and 2000 for US Senate and other statewide races.
Then require that all candidates participate in TV and radio debates sponsored by public TV and radio. Set up at least one forum for each candidate at every state college or university at no cost to the candidate. Send out a voter guide to every voter with each candidate allowed a small space to tell their story. Use Instant Run Off Voting to save the multi-million dollar cost of run offs.
I know it's fun to get all high and mighty, or run my state down, but none of that will change the sorry state of our democracy.
As for me, I'm voting for the only honest, common sense candidate in the race, Tom Clements. You can find his campaign website here: http://www.clementsforsenate.com
First of all don't go to her house cause then you would be one of the victims. Second of all they need to get there house cleaned and fixed before it turns into a BIGGER problem. That is just plan gross and they badly need help. They should change all of there furniture QUICKLY and wash everything. That is a major problem!! Good Luck!

yes i know exacally what you mean. I tried to act like people didnt see me as any different but with comments and stuff from black girls when i was with white people and stares when i was with black people its hard to NOT feel like your out of place. THen i come home to a mother who hated and despised anything black and yes she was black herself, my father was okay with this and advocated it basically. I moved out of that town, no longer live with my parents and life is great, there are SOO many people of all races where I live. And i am way more comfortable in my skin. Its all about self esteem really.
